Atlanta's Hot Spot on the Knot! This morning I was browsing The Knot really for no reason other than to see what people are posting and BAM! There is was! A photo from Carrie and Luke's wedding at Hightower Falls last year! I had submitted it a couple of months ago when they contacted me to submit a GA hotspot. I didn't even know it was part of a contest till I did some searching around and found that it was a finalist and it read: "Photographers from across Georgia sent in their favorite most iconic wedding photos. The winning photo will appear on the Georgia local vendors page. Cast your vote for your favorite here!" And I WON!!! Whooo HOOOOO! I didn't even know! I'm so glad I found it! :D (Happy dance in my office)!

I *heart* Erin & Trent!I took a tour of Roswell last week for Erin and Trent's wedding! We hopped from location to location, but surprisingly the day was not rushed or stressful at-all! I love it when a bride pre-plans her wedding so on the "big day" they can all just relax and enjoy the ride. Every detail was immaculate and every part of the day was so exciting for me to shoot! After the long day as I drive home, yeah, my feet hurt! But my mind is spinning with all of the awesome photos I got that day! Thanks for inviting me along!

Six Flags! So I took the day off - kinda - and went to Six Flags with the kids! We had so much fun! And after being SUPER hot for a while, we kind of got used to it and didn't mind the stickyness and had a great time! I had a great time especially because I did NOT ride the big roller coasters! Ok, I almost cried on the "Mine Train" in the kids section... seriously. And the photo from the log ride looks like I'm smiling but that's actually a scream of complete terror! Other than that, I played it safe and sound on the ground and in the water. Thanks Six Flags for a fun day!

From Paris with LOVE...I got the most awesome e-mail last week! I was asked to shoot at the Eiffle Tower in Paris!!! Whooo hoooo!..... oh.. wait.. "You thought I was a photographer in Paris....?" ohhhhhh. :( Bummerrrrrr....Ok, so let's set things strait. I'm not in Paris, I have a cabin on Paris Mountain... in Georgia!!! My name is not Paris. (not that there's anything wrong with that). My name is Pam, and I named my company Paris Mountain Photography because I thought it had a cool ring to it. Plus I thought it would be a bit arrogant to call it Pam Jones Photography. But when I answer the phone, "Hello, Paris Mountain," I think it confused people because I'm called Paris all-the-time! Well, I guess it could be worse, I could have named it after the county I got married in, but Butts Photography just didn't sound as good! Here is a tribute photo to Paris Mountain!

Michelle's Bridal PhotosWow! What an amazing day! I've been shooting from 8am till 7:30pm and it was SO worth it! Michelle and Jason's wedding was awesome. I can't wait to get started on all of their photos, but for now, her are some of the photos from Michelle's incredible bridal session!
Addison's Newborn SessionWell, needless to say I LOVE babies... I have three of my own! And Addison is just adorable! But I would have to say I love this session because it was for Kelly and Ryan, who's wedding I shot in 2008. You would know her because you clicked on her face to come to my blog! :D I use Kelly's photos everywhere I can because she was such a knockout bride!!! And I'm a little jealous that she looks perfect only 3 weeks after the baby! But I love them all and I love her photos!!!!

Well, wait no longer, for Erin and Trent were married last weekend! Whoo hoo! I will soon post all of the fabulous wedding festivities, but for now, you get to enjoy her a-m-a-z-i-n-g bridal photos shot at Primrose Cottage the week before the wedding!! Cindy & Cody's E-SessionOh boy! I just couldn't wait to post their engagement photos. We took the long trek to Rudledge, GA the week before the Sunflower Festival and it was SO worth the drive and the eighteen bug bites!... Yes, I counted! I mean, really! Who has engagement photos like this! I just couldn't help myself and I posted a ton!
Senior Photos!Matt was such a good sport. Not only did he get up in the wee hours of 9am for his photo session, but he took some serious teasing from his photographer. I have to admit. I just love teasing the guys! Not only is it just so much fun, but it helps them get more relaxed for the photo shoot.... or they just end up hating me! :D Seriously, every girl LOVES getting her photo taken, but most guys are a little camera shy. So I have to put on the charm to get your guy to smile. Thanks Matt for taking one for the team. And I promise I won't tell anyone about your Little Mermaid tattoo! :D

Just Married...
I always say to myself that I'm only as good as my last wedding. If that's true then HECK YEAH!!! Mary and Justin's wedding was awesome!!!! They got married at Hightower Falls and I just love that location because of the amazing backdrops. The waterfall, the gristmill, the old barn...the list goes on and on! Thanks so much Mary and I hope you've enjoyed your month long European honeymoon!!!

Happy Independence Day!I LOVE the 4th of July! My Great Grandmother Evdokia Kereokopolis (not kidding) came to Ellis Island from Greece almost 100 years ago and when we went on our trip to see the Statue of Liberty I got a little teary eyed thinking about how she must have felt when she saw it for the first time! Then there's the fireworks!!!! Yay for fireworks! I took some shots Saturday when I took the girls, but a poof here and a poof there was just not web worthy....so I put them together and made the must have, dream it if you will, the awesomest grand finale EV-ER! Enjoy!

Our Summer Trip comes to an end...But what a trip it was. Parking in DC was so bad so Mark drove us to all of the monuments and we jumped out of the car to take a photo while he drove around the block. We really had it down to a science and got some awesome photos. In the morning we took the metro to our White House tour, but we couldn't bring cameras or pretty much anything in there, so no photos other than this one I snagged at a stop sign! It was an awesome and much needed vacation for all of us!

Amber + Michael
The father/daughter dance is always a hard one for me to shoot because my camera gets all fogged up. I try to hold in the tears and hide behind my lens, but jeeze! There wasn't a dry eye in the place! It was beautiful! Then they topped it off with a Blues Brothers tribute. It was awesome! Everyone had so much fun and I think I posted more reception photos than any other wedding because they were just SO-MUCH-FUN!

Pennsylvania Dutch
We took a nice slow ride through Amish country and really enjoyed the contrast between that and NY city. We went off the beaten path and really tried not to hit the touristy spots, so it was really authentic! What I thought was cool to see was that you could tell which farms were Amish because they didn't have power lines going to the houses. One farm had a small stand with raspberries and jam. There wasn't anyone there to take your money, just a box that said, "Money box" and it's all done on the honor system. How cool is that! So I got two jars of Jam and some berries....and put my money in the box. :D Brooke REALLY loved the berries!

New York Day Two
The last thing we HAD to do was go to see the Statue of Liberty. We took a ferry ride around the New York Harbor and got to see a lot of the sights including the Statue and the Brooklyn Bridge! I love the city! The only thing I didn't love was the $50 charge for 3 hour parking! >:(

THIRTY FIVE!!!
That's how many years I've been living on this rock! I'm so excited about turning 35! So I have some more gray hairs than before and I don't look as great as I did when I turned 30. But there's a lot of experience packed in those 35 years. As Indiana Jones said "It's not the years, it's the mileage." I would have to agree Indy! Happy Birthday to MEEEEE! I'll be celebrating by shooting Jessica's wedding in Rome. And it'll probably be the best birthday party I've ever had.... wedding cake and all! :D

New York, Newwww Yoooooooorrrkkkk!
We started out the next day driving through Connecticut and visited Gilette's Castle. It was an old gothic castle built by an excentric actor from the early 20th century with secret passageways and lots of tapestries! I visited the castle when I was a child and thought it would be fun, but after seeing all of the Newport Mansions, poor old Gilette just couldn't impress us. But the rock work all over the property was amazing. The kids REALLY enjoyed the ferry ride across the CT river. It made me SOOOO nervous that I couldn't even get my camera out. I just prayed we wouldn't tip over! The ferry held three cars and goes back and forth across the river all day. I guess those guys know what they're doing becasue we made it across without drowning!

The first place we went when we got in to NY was the Museum of Natural History. We were hoping to run in to Ben Stiller there, but all we saw was old "Dum Dum" and a couple other great characters from the movie. The girls favorite part of the museum was the dinosaur floor. We spent hours in there looking at every skeleton. They LOVE dinos!I also asked the girls to pose like the funny mask....I think Emily was signing a secret message to the Easter Island Gods! :D

I also promised the girls I would take them to the NY subway...they didn't like my little joke. But they really did love riding the subway for the first time.

We took a stroll through Time Square just to see all of the lights and just the energy of the city. Even Mark enjoyed it a little bit. |
