The great thing about being a wedding photographer is that every weekend I get to PARTAAAYY! And this one was no exception! What's really funny is, after years of shooting weddings, I was actually nervous about this one. I'm not sure why really. I had my super awesome second photogrpaher Jarett with me, and I checked and double checked everything...but as I drive to Rosehall Event Center, I got butterflies in my stomach! I guess a little bit of nerves is always good to keep your head on straight and I think their pictures proove it! Way to go Laura and Josh!!!

Best Party EVER!!!Last night I had SO much fun at the Wedding Party hosted by Atlanta Weddings Magazine. I met a ton of great brides-to-be, but here's the coolest part! I was setting up my oh so awesome table and chatting with the caterer at the table next to me. I was worried about being in the corner, but he told me he had some amazing set ups to draw in the crowd. BOY was he right! But I kept looking at him and figured I just recognized him from other bridal shows I'd been to, but we got on to chatting and I finally realized he was Jeffrey from "Who's Wedding Is It Anyway!" Like, one of my favorite shows!!! All that time, I had no idea it was him! So I HAD to get a photo and he was just so nice and fun all night......and what's more.... he's with Carole Parks Catering now and their food was the hit of the night...everyone was coming over to eat some of their fabulous food and checking out their amazing displays...then strolling over to see me. Thanks Jeffrey, for bringing in the crowd!!!

Rubbing elbows with David Tutera!Literally! Actually, during the photo I noticed I was holding on to his silk jacket and felt a little awkward! "Don't move Pam!" I thought. Yes, I was nervous/excited! I got to chat with David about my NYC wedding giveaway and he was oh so nice and told me to contact his peeps! He also signed The Big White Book of Weddings "Down the isle with style. Paris Mountain Photography is wonderful, David Tutera" which will be given to the next two brides who book their wedding! What an awesome night!!! :D

There was no angst, awkwardness, or immaturity about him. He is Dakota... :D Now the whole world can see how cool this guy is.... and yes girls... he's taken! :D

No rest for the weary! Some Labor Day it was for me! House cleaning was on the top of my list! But I managed to squeeze in some computer time to peek at Laura & Josh's wedding photos from this weekend. I picked out a couple of my favorites....of me and my AMAZING second shooter/BFF Jarett! She always manages to get those shots that I just couldn't get because of timing, and she always gets it right on! After I left CNN almost 3 years ago, we always try to come up with excuses to see each other and this was the best kind because she's, of course, fabulous! But also an amazing second shooter! XOXOX Jarett!

Elizabeth + MichaelI know I talk too much about the cake, but I just can't help myself this time. I'm actually talking about the groom's cake. It was a a D&D themed cake, and REALLY, it was THE MOST AWESOME groom's cake I've ever seen! And I've seen Star Wars, football, you name it cakes.... This one was amazing! And it tasted great too! :D I had a wonderful time with everyone at the wedding. And the MOB posted an amazing review for me even before she's seen the photos! I hope I live up to all of the wonderful things she said about me! :D

Awww.. Sniff Sniff...This review was just posted on AtlantaBridal.com and she hasn't even seen the photos yet! What a sweet famly!!!!"We found Pam Jones of Paris Mountain Photography to be the best possible professional for the wedding. She was detail oriented and very communicative. Plus on top of all that what is not to love about Pam? Everyone at the wedding kept asking me-Where did you find her-she is a treasure. And you are Pam and a hard working one too. We do thank you from the bottom of our hearts for making such a special photo record. Everything from start to finish was wonderful. Joanne Norris MOB"

Published! While I was working on sorting wedding photos this weekend I heard the UPS truck pull up and thought, "Hmph, I'm not expecting a package..." So I hurried to the door like a kid on Christmas morning and tore open the box! In it was about 50 magazines. Atlanta Wedding's magazines!!! So I thumbed through the pages and found one of my photos!!! Mary and Justin's awesome waterfall photo from Hightower Falls . YAY!!!

Robin + BryanWhen I drew Robin's name as the winner of the free engagement session last month I was so excited because she is friends with Danielle, my bride from two weeks ago! I got to meet the awesome couple at her wedding and I was even more excited! Then, on the day of our workshop photo shoot I was completely floored. I wish they could bottle that kind of energy and pass it on to all of my clients. I hardly even had to ask them to do anything. They just naturally moved together for awesome AWESOME photos!!!

April from Events CateringOur Kiss The Bride Summer Workshop was such a huge success partly due to April from Event's Catering who offered her space at Roswell Mill Club. We were so tuckered out from our photo session and she already had pitchers of ice water waiting for us! And she was a reluctant model, especially with 6 photographers shooting away, but we managed to loosen her up for some beautiful head shots. Thanks so much for your hospitality April!

Kiss The Bride wedding!"Samantha and Greg say I-Do in the pouring rain," was the text I got from associate photographer Katie when I checked my phone last night after my wedding wrapped up. First I thought, hmph, didn't rain here. Then I wondered how they kept dry, then Katie posted the sneak peek! WOW! They really did! And I LOVE IT! Although I'm a little jealous that Katie got to do it, I can't wait to see the awesome photos she took at this wedding!!!

Tiffany + Curtis are married!!!Yay! I think this was one of the most calm weddings I've EVER shot! Usually the formal photos are pretty busy. But, really! We got all of the after-ceremony photos done about 20 minutes early! I think that's a record! I really loved this group too. They even invited me to go out with them all after the reception! That's a first! I feel very privelaged to get to work with people like Tiffany and Curtis. I really think I laughed more and enjoyed the bridal party more than any other wedding. Oh, and I HAVE to say, I see a lot of dresses, and I LOVE wedding dresses! I love to PHOTOGRAPH wedding dresses....and this one... WHOA! Speechless!!!!

What's in a name?Well actually I'm talking about the date! There are two VERY important wedding dates coming up in 2011. One is the coveted 11.11.11. I've already had an inquiry for this date, so people are thinking ahead. But I also thought about another one! 9.10.11. So book 'em soon before they run out!!!

My little Four-Eyes!Oh, I'm not being mean! She is just so cute and pitiful with those big coke bottles on her face!!! :D Yes, Brookie got glasses. Her right eye just couldn't decide where it wanted to go, so we got her checked out...twice and it's for-real. The most common questions I'm asked? "Are those real glasses?" Now, WHY on EARTH would I cover that adorable face with pretend glasses!!! The other comment I've gotten is "I'm sorry." Why are you sorry? What are you trying to say! She's STILL cute as pie!!!! I've come to grips with the fact that I'll be teaching her how to wear contacts when she's a teenager, but soon, we're gonna rock some Ray-Bans or something!!! :D

Kiss The Bride Summer Workshop!!!I got all of the Kiss The Bride associate photographers together at the Roswell Mill Club for a 1/2 day workshop to, as Katie would day, "Live, Laugh and Photograph!" LOVE IT!!!! We started the day with an engagement shoot with the amazing winners of our contest, and we did some headshots for April from Roswell Mill Club. Then, we enjoyed chatting so much that the time flew by and we just wanted MORE!! A few photogs shared some of their special skills and we even had Stacey Bode come chat with us about branding an packaging. Now that was awesome!!! We later had lunch at Relish nearby and we still wanted more!!! We all had so much fun and learned so much that the next workshop will have to be a whole day and lots more fun will ensue!!!A special thanks to the following for making our workshop exciting for all of the photographers by donating their time, talent, resources, gifts and discount coupons for the swag bags. Thank you SO much!!!

Everyday can be your birthday! So I blogged about my super awesome camera strap from Cotton Candy that my friend got me for my birthday in June, right? Well, I put it on my Nikon D300, and my D700 got REALLY jealous, so I decided to still order the one I wanted originally for my birthday. I got it from Phat Straps and not only is it fabulous with Paris Mountain Photography embroidered on it. But it's OH SO comfy with the hot pink chenille Minky. Whooooaaaa..... And now both cameras are happy! :D 2 down and two more to go! :D

Christy's Maternity Session!Wow! That's cutting it close! I typically wait for a mommy-to-be to be about 9 months preggo so they are nice and plump for the photos, but this was too close...she had little Brayden two days after we shot her session. Christy was such a trooper though and just think, that little bun is already out of the oven!!! Can't wait to do the newborn pix!!! :D

Danielle & HugoI have so many wonderful things I could say about this wedding! But the one that has stuck in my mind is when I was in the ballroom taking shots of the cake before the ceremony and Danielle came in the room to take a breather from all of the pre-wedding stress. She looked at her cake and peeked out the window to see arriving guests. I took some shots of her in the gorgeous natural light and showed her how awesome she looked. Then she started to cry...and said humbly, "I look pretty!" It made me both happy and sad that she didn't know how simply stunning she looked. It almost made me cry too. I just love that what I do can make someone have one of those revealing moments. It really, really makes my job SO worth it. I love you Danielle. And yes, I did get a Hugo-Bomb! :DTo see Danielle and Hugo's "Real Wedding" gallery click HERE.

Ally's Senior Photos!I was so excited when Ally and her mom wanted to shoot her senior photos in downtown Dallas. It's such an subtle little town, but the photo opportunities are endless! We were really worried when a terrible thunderstorm swept up just as we started, but we got really lucky and it passed right by us with hardly a drop. So Ally could show off her sassy self and come out with some great photos!

Say Yes To The Dress!I was on a plane a couple of months agon with my 7 year old and she asked me if I was famous. I told her no, but she insisted that when we go out to dinner people always come up to me AND my photos are in magazines so, "You ARE famous Mommy!" The man sitting next to us laughed and asked me if I was famous! :D
But I really did feel like a celebrity when I was invited to the red carpet "Say Yes To The Dress" Atlanta premier. There were a couple of people from Project Runway and other reality celebrities which made my BFF/2nd shooter Jarett super excited! Melita from The McGarity House also came with me and we really enjoyed the amazing food and energy in the beautiful 200 Peachtree grand atrium! The lines getting in were crazy, but hey... we were on "The List!!! :D

I really think they are the most pleasant people I've ever met! Michelle really planned her day to get the best photos possible and I LOVE that! When a bride and groom are committed to getting great photos, and takes the time in their day to get them, it really shows. Awesome photos for the awesome couple!! xoxoxoxo

Atlanta's Hot Spot on the Knot! This morning I was browsing The Knot really for no reason other than to see what people are posting and BAM! There is was! A photo from Carrie and Luke's wedding at Hightower Falls last year! I had submitted it a couple of months ago when they contacted me to submit a GA hotspot. I didn't even know it was part of a contest till I did some searching around and found that it was a finalist and it read: "Photographers from across Georgia sent in their favorite most iconic wedding photos. The winning photo will appear on the Georgia local vendors page. Cast your vote for your favorite here!" And I WON!!! Whooo HOOOOO! I didn't even know! I'm so glad I found it! :D (Happy dance in my office)!

I *heart* Erin & Trent!I took a tour of Roswell last week for Erin and Trent's wedding! We hopped from location to location, but surprisingly the day was not rushed or stressful at-all! I love it when a bride pre-plans her wedding so on the "big day" they can all just relax and enjoy the ride. Every detail was immaculate and every part of the day was so exciting for me to shoot! After the long day as I drive home, yeah, my feet hurt! But my mind is spinning with all of the awesome photos I got that day! Thanks for inviting me along!

Six Flags! So I took the day off - kinda - and went to Six Flags with the kids! We had so much fun! And after being SUPER hot for a while, we kind of got used to it and didn't mind the stickyness and had a great time! I had a great time especially because I did NOT ride the big roller coasters! Ok, I almost cried on the "Mine Train" in the kids section... seriously. And the photo from the log ride looks like I'm smiling but that's actually a scream of complete terror! Other than that, I played it safe and sound on the ground and in the water. Thanks Six Flags for a fun day!

From Paris with LOVE...I got the most awesome e-mail last week! I was asked to shoot at the Eiffle Tower in Paris!!! Whooo hoooo!..... oh.. wait.. "You thought I was a photographer in Paris....?" ohhhhhh. :( Bummerrrrrr....Ok, so let's set things strait. I'm not in Paris, I have a cabin on Paris Mountain... in Georgia!!! My name is not Paris. (not that there's anything wrong with that). My name is Pam, and I named my company Paris Mountain Photography because I thought it had a cool ring to it. Plus I thought it would be a bit arrogant to call it Pam Jones Photography. But when I answer the phone, "Hello, Paris Mountain," I think it confused people because I'm called Paris all-the-time! Well, I guess it could be worse, I could have named it after the county I got married in, but Butts Photography just didn't sound as good! Here is a tribute photo to Paris Mountain!

Michelle's Bridal PhotosWow! What an amazing day! I've been shooting from 8am till 7:30pm and it was SO worth it! Michelle and Jason's wedding was awesome. I can't wait to get started on all of their photos, but for now, her are some of the photos from Michelle's incredible bridal session!
Addison's Newborn SessionWell, needless to say I LOVE babies... I have three of my own! And Addison is just adorable! But I would have to say I love this session because it was for Kelly and Ryan, who's wedding I shot in 2008. You would know her because you clicked on her face to come to my blog! :D I use Kelly's photos everywhere I can because she was such a knockout bride!!! And I'm a little jealous that she looks perfect only 3 weeks after the baby! But I love them all and I love her photos!!!!

Erin's Bridal Session Revealed!Shooting a bridal session is always bitter sweet for me because the photos are SUPER AWESOME, but I have to wait till the wedding is over to post the photos! Well, wait no longer, for Erin and Trent were married last weekend! Whoo hoo! I will soon post all of the fabulous wedding festivities, but for now, you get to enjoy her a-m-a-z-i-n-g bridal photos shot at Primrose Cottage the week before the wedding!! Just sit down, grab a cup of cocoa, put your feet up, and enjoy!

Cindy & Cody's E-SessionOh boy! I just couldn't wait to post their engagement photos. We took the long trek to Rudledge, GA the week before the Sunflower Festival and it was SO worth the drive and the eighteen bug bites!... Yes, I counted! I mean, really! Who has engagement photos like this! I just couldn't help myself and I posted a ton!
Senior Photos!Matt was such a good sport. Not only did he get up in the wee hours of 9am for his photo session, but he took some serious teasing from his photographer. I have to admit. I just love teasing the guys! Not only is it just so much fun, but it helps them get more relaxed for the photo shoot.... or they just end up hating me! :D Seriously, every girl LOVES getting her photo taken, but most guys are a little camera shy. So I have to put on the charm to get your guy to smile. Thanks Matt for taking one for the team. And I promise I won't tell anyone about your Little Mermaid tattoo! :D

No worries though because I still have several awesome Kiss The Bride associate photographers to fill in the gaps! So please book soon if you are planning a 2011 wedding before the dates run out!

Just Married...
I always say to myself that I'm only as good as my last wedding. If that's true then HECK YEAH!!! Mary and Justin's wedding was awesome!!!! They got married at Hightower Falls and I just love that location because of the amazing backdrops. The waterfall, the gristmill, the old barn...the list goes on and on! Thanks so much Mary and I hope you've enjoyed your month long European honeymoon!!!

Happy Independence Day!I LOVE the 4th of July! My Great Grandmother Evdokia Kereokopolis (not kidding) came to Ellis Island from Greece almost 100 years ago and when we went on our trip to see the Statue of Liberty I got a little teary eyed thinking about how she must have felt when she saw it for the first time! Then there's the fireworks!!!! Yay for fireworks! I took some shots Saturday when I took the girls, but a poof here and a poof there was just not web worthy....so I put them together and made the must have, dream it if you will, the awesomest grand finale EV-ER! Enjoy!

Our Summer Trip comes to an end...But what a trip it was. Parking in DC was so bad so Mark drove us to all of the monuments and we jumped out of the car to take a photo while he drove around the block. We really had it down to a science and got some awesome photos. In the morning we took the metro to our White House tour, but we couldn't bring cameras or pretty much anything in there, so no photos other than this one I snagged at a stop sign! It was an awesome and much needed vacation for all of us!

Amber + Michael
The father/daughter dance is always a hard one for me to shoot because my camera gets all fogged up. I try to hold in the tears and hide behind my lens, but jeeze! There wasn't a dry eye in the place! It was beautiful! Then they topped it off with a Blues Brothers tribute. It was awesome! Everyone had so much fun and I think I posted more reception photos than any other wedding because they were just SO-MUCH-FUN!

Pennsylvania Dutch
We took a nice slow ride through Amish country and really enjoyed the contrast between that and NY city. We went off the beaten path and really tried not to hit the touristy spots, so it was really authentic! What I thought was cool to see was that you could tell which farms were Amish because they didn't have power lines going to the houses. One farm had a small stand with raspberries and jam. There wasn't anyone there to take your money, just a box that said, "Money box" and it's all done on the honor system. How cool is that! So I got two jars of Jam and some berries....and put my money in the box. :D Brooke REALLY loved the berries!

New York Day Two
The last thing we HAD to do was go to see the Statue of Liberty. We took a ferry ride around the New York Harbor and got to see a lot of the sights including the Statue and the Brooklyn Bridge! I love the city! The only thing I didn't love was the $50 charge for 3 hour parking! >:(

THIRTY FIVE!!!
That's how many years I've been living on this rock! I'm so excited about turning 35! So I have some more gray hairs than before and I don't look as great as I did when I turned 30. But there's a lot of experience packed in those 35 years. As Indiana Jones said "It's not the years, it's the mileage." I would have to agree Indy! Happy Birthday to MEEEEE! I'll be celebrating by shooting Jessica's wedding in Rome. And it'll probably be the best birthday party I've ever had.... wedding cake and all! :D

New York, Newwww Yoooooooorrrkkkk!
We started out the next day driving through Connecticut and visited Gilette's Castle. It was an old gothic castle built by an excentric actor from the early 20th century with secret passageways and lots of tapestries! I visited the castle when I was a child and thought it would be fun, but after seeing all of the Newport Mansions, poor old Gilette just couldn't impress us. But the rock work all over the property was amazing. The kids REALLY enjoyed the ferry ride across the CT river. It made me SOOOO nervous that I couldn't even get my camera out. I just prayed we wouldn't tip over! The ferry held three cars and goes back and forth across the river all day. I guess those guys know what they're doing becasue we made it across without drowning!

The first place we went when we got in to NY was the Museum of Natural History. We were hoping to run in to Ben Stiller there, but all we saw was old "Dum Dum" and a couple other great characters from the movie. The girls favorite part of the museum was the dinosaur floor. We spent hours in there looking at every skeleton. They LOVE dinos!I also asked the girls to pose like the funny mask....I think Emily was signing a secret message to the Easter Island Gods! :D

I also promised the girls I would take them to the NY subway...they didn't like my little joke. But they really did love riding the subway for the first time.

We took a stroll through Time Square just to see all of the lights and just the energy of the city. Even Mark enjoyed it a little bit. |
