When you're a wedding photographer and your own daughter gets married, what do you do!! That's what everyone has been asking me for the last year! How could I get another photographer to shoot my baby's big day and still enjoy being the mother of the bride! Well, we did it! It was NOT an easy task but Emily's wedding was a hug Paris Mountain Wedding event at the Biltmore Ballrooms in Atlanta, one of my favorite venues! We were able to include our favorite wedding professionals, the dream team, and my second shooter Alicia! She did most of the photography work that day and was truly baptized by fire as a primary shooter! Emily, Austin and I also had already planned to do another shoot at Berry College the week after, knowing we would want to get some more couples shots without the stress and pressure of the wedding day! When it's all tied together, their wedding day came out to be the perfect, dreamy, fairytale wedding that she dreamed of!!

We had a full house when it was time for Kendall's senior portrait reveal appointment! The studio was full of parents, grandparents, aunt, brother and boyfriend! It was so sweet to see how their family is so close and supportive of each other!! We all laughed and gushed over her senior portraits!! Kendall is such a sweet, fun, confident young lady and we had such a great time shooting her session!

I was so honored that Cassy asked me to shoot her son's senior portraits! Why? I shot her wedding about 12 years ago and since then she's moved to Missouri. She made a special trip back to Atlanta just for Blake's senior portraits with me! No pressure, right! I was so excited to see her again, and little Blake wasn't so little anymore! Their session went so smoothly and the photos turned out great!

Picking the perfect location for a senior portrait session takes some thought. Lucky for my seniors I have a location guide that features all of my favorite locations including green spaces, luxury, country and city backdrops. During our planning meeting we look through each section of the location guide to find the best fit for the session!! I love it when I show someone a place and they light up. That's when we know we picked the perfect place! That's what happened when Jacob saw Burk Farm in Rome. The minute I showed him the quaint, rustic look, with the lake, fields and barn, he was sold!

When I take senior portraits for boys a lot of them like to show off their trucks, dogs and guns! They're hunters, fishers and welders. So when beautiful Tish Anne said she wants to do some hunting pictures for her session I was SOOOO excited! I'm a hunter too and I think it's so cool that she's so beautiful and sweet, but she also knows how to hunt! I love her senior portraits! Enjoy!
