Sometimes when I meet a bride to book her wedding it's just the two of us. I love making a connection and finding out that we can be BFF's! But its also super important to meet the groom either at this meeting or another time before the wedding. That way they know who I am and are comfortable with me. The last thing I want to do is show up to a wedding not knowing the groom. Then, I'm just "The Photographer." If I get to know the groom before the wedding, then when I arrive for groomsmen photos it's more like, "Hey! Pam is here!" Not only does that make me feel great!!! But it also sets the tone for all of the groomsmen, that the groom likes me, trusts me and they usually follow suit! So, if the groom can't make it to the initial meeting, then an engagement session is the perfect time for us to get acquainted! Usually by the end of the e-session the groom trusts me and says the words that are music to my ears, "That wasn't so bad." Picture time isn't usually the guys' favorite part of the wedding day, but at least I can make it.... "not so bad!" And happy wife, happy life!!!!

Senior portraits can be as simple or elaborate as you want to make them. Sure, I love to go to the city, lots of props, sports or have a half dozen outfits to choose from. But I also love a simple 1 hour session like Meghan's at a beautiful waterfall. And what makes her simple session more than ... simple? She wanted to get in the water! I was so excited I flipped off my sandals and got right in with her!! Even the simplest session can turn out amazing! Her slideshow is below!

Downtown Atlanta Engagement Session | Fox Theater Engagement

Francesca and Diego wanted their engagement session to be at the Fox Theater. We were worried since there was a show that night and was super crowded, but we did a pretty good job of dodging the crowd and getting some cool city photos! I really love shooting sessions in Midtown Atlanta and all around. There are so many beautiful buildings and architecture to work with. Don't get me wrong. I love a flowery field and a barn any day. But Atlanta has SO much to offer! I can't wait for their wedding in just a couple of weeks!!!
